21st January 2010 witnessed the much anticipated opening of Focus Point’s latest optical concept store, Eyefont in the trendy area of Bangsar. In corporation with its subsidiary partner, Carl Zeiss Vision, the store features the exclusive ZEISS Retail Experience Concept – first of its kind in Malaysia.

The opening corresponded with Focus Point’s target of 20% growth in revenue for this year. Speaking to reporters during an interview session, Focus Point’s CEO, Dato’ Liaw Choon Liang said that the company is targeting an increase of 30 million ringgit to 160 million ringgit in sales for 2010. This is followed closely by other plans of increasing its market shares by 3% and expansion business plans to Cambodia and Vietnam.

ZEISS Retail Experience Concept is a product resulted from a global study on today’s customer experience on purchasing eyewear. This concept revolves around sharing in-depth the process of personalizing a lens solution for each individual customer’s eyes and styles.

Eyefont’s store design introduces an awe-inspiring ambience that is modern and tech-savvy with customers now able to experience for themselves the unique ZEISS Analysis Process by turning an ordinary eyewear purchase into a unique personalized walk-through.

Customers will be guided step-by-step through the ZEISS Analysis Process by a qualified practitioner towards optimizing the perfect lens best suited for their eyes. This includes taking into consideration the customer’s personal visual habits and the best frame to fit each individual face. The customers now not only learn but get involved firsthand into the complete process, ensuring a more informed purchasing decision.

As an appreciation for the media’s continual support, those present at the Grand Opening were treated to a lunch session at Alexis Bistro Wine Bar and an early taste of Chinese New Year celebration with the appearance of the God of Prosperity.
